Promotion Comes from the Lord

We see in spirit our promise Land

  • We believe we're destined for amazing things

The advancement of King Saul without him being prepared is the perfect illustration of when we get in a hurry and what kingship before we're prepared in servanthood.

I asked God why He didn't just show me what He wants and I'll do it.

Anyone used for the sake of the Lord, whether in ministry or in a secular calling will need preparation before they can successfully fulfill their calling.

Bible heroes that went through a process: Noah, Joseph, David, Paul, the disciples

One thing that you can be sure of is that God is able to place you when and where He wants you!

  • Isaiah 46:11 NAS Calling a bird of prey from the east, The man of My purpose from a far country. Truly I have spoken; truly I will bring it to pass. I have planned it, surely I will do it. (BBE the thing designed by Me will certainly be done)

Proverbs 18:16 NAS A man's gift makes room for him And brings him before great men.

Psalms 75:6-7 KJV 6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. 7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

Daryl - Don’t promote a novice….pride

  • 1 Timothy 3:6 NKJV not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil.

Kris Vallotton - Between the promise and the palace there should always be a process—one that is natural and needed. It is the process that prepares and develops us so that we have the character that it takes and the skills that are necessary to be successful in the palace sort of speak. This not only applies to prophets but to any leader who has a calling to be in a place of influence. We all need the process of preparation before the promotion.

Don't allow your identity issues to cause you to just have to be doing something during a Wilderness time.

How do you know you're in a Wilderness?

  • The fighting for the promised land is external and the fighting in the wilderness is internal.

Daryl - Value the process

  • You don’t have to do A & B to get to C because C already exists

Daryl - Master teacher at COTM

No one else’s actions can keep us from the promotion God has ordained for us. It is accessed by our hearts and our hearts are the only thing that can keep us from it.

2 Pet 1:3-11 NKJV it is the growth in the fruit of the Spirit and our character that equips us for unstoppable promotion

James 1:4-5 NKJV- Patience is the process of perfection that weeds out the self agendas and insecurities. Those temporal soulish ties can never carry the anointing of our eternal call.

Vs 5- Wisdom sees the value of the process so we don’t get bitter, offended, or condemned.

Matt 25:20 NKJV- Faithfulness is the attitude of the right heart through the process.

Obedience will earn a wage. Faithfulness prepares for promotion.

Psalms 37:1-9 NAS 1 Do not fret because of evildoers, Be not envious toward wrongdoers. 2 For they will wither quickly like the grass And fade like the green herb. 3 Trust in the Lord and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. 4 Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He will do it. 6 He will bring forth your righteousness as the light And your judgment as the noonday.

7 Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes. 8 Cease from anger and forsake wrath; Do not fret; it leads only to evildoing. 9 For evildoers will be cut off, But those who wait for the Lord, they will inherit the land.
