God is Always For Me

Natural parents carry a trusted intent and love

  • As we have been adopted we don’t have that natural trust in our new Father’s intent towards us.

God loves everyone in the world more than we can think

  • He paid an enormous price to redeem everyone
  • His love is not temperamental like human love

One of the questions of love that I ask myself is, “Do you want that person to prosper and be happy?”

  • If I’m mad or offended at them the answer is, “NO!”
  • God wants the very best to happen to all of us
    • This includes the people that don’t accept Him

God’s intention towards us is always good! He wants us to:

  • Know who He is with a greater growing understanding
  • Live healthy lives both physically and emotionally
  • Live in and from abundance
  • Be in peace no matter what the circumstances
  • Have joy bubbling up in us all the time
  • Be free of all forceful and harmful influences on the inside and outside of ourselves

But isn’t God mad at me when I sin?

  • Isn’t God’s wrath aimed at me when I sin?

Romans 5:8-10 NAS (italics Pastor Bob) 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (verifying His unconditional love). 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved (Greek - healed, preserved, saved, made whole) by His life.

John 3:36 NKJV He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.

  • The wrath is on what does not come under Jesus because John 16:11b NAS says, “the ruler of this world has been judged.”
  • Romans 1:18 NAS For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness
    • But 1 Thessalonians 5:9 NAS For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ

When we think we’ve failed we get condemned.

  • Then we don’t pursue from and through God what He wants for us when we’re condemned.

Much of the time when we’re condemned it’s not God but our own heart.

  • Romans 8:1 NAS Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Other things that condemn us:

  • It’s a natural byproduct of sin
  • Unforgiveness–If you don’t forgive you don’t get forgiven
  • People’s lack of love and patience with us.
  • Demonic attachments

We are always accepted by God and His intent towards us never changes

  • But there is criteria to inherit His kingdom
  • 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 NAS 9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
  • Galatians 5:19-21 NAS 19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, 21 envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Even if you fail in some of these things, you will never get rid of them if you don’t believe in God’s intent towards you.

Our goal is to learn how to manage God’s kingdom by managing the things in our daily lives.

God will not give His kingdom to someone that:

  1. Has not died to the carnal nature
  2. Then been born again
  3. And living the resurrected life

Until God’s people understand God’s acceptance for us and intent towards us we will never be trained to manage God’s kingdom

You will take God’s correction as condemnation and recoil from learning about the kingdom and it’s ways.

People that have demonic attachments will hear and feel condemnation from the attachment.

  • This will cause them to recoil from the truth

To get us to where we are overcomers we must look at hard truth.

  • We will never look at that truth if it condemns us

If you look at the word as hard you will not only recoil from it but you will have a hard time telling others and seeing them transformed

  • Today’s parenting is much like this
