Recognizing God's Government

God invites us to be His son or daughter

  • As sons and daughters, our Father tells us that we will inherit His kingdom

As any good business owner, our Father tells us the criteria for inheriting His business

  • 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 NAS 9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

  • Galatians 5:19-22 NAS 19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, 21 envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Unfortunately, we have the world’s system that we compare kingdom life to.

  • In that system you can live how you want, pass a test and be positioned.

  •

God is very clear in who is in charge of His kingdom on this earth

  • He gives governmental authority to make decisions concerning His kingdom

Unfortunately again, we have a church system formed after the world’s system to compare God’s governmental set up to.

  • This system mixed with increased lawlessness causes God’s people to react in a way that they don’t respect or follow those who the Father is setting up in these last days.

    • Those in charge can’t govern because of contempt, unbelief and ignorance of God’s ways.

The purpose of government is:

  1. To protect its people from outside aggressors

    1. This is done with a military

  2. To insure it’s citizens safety & well being

    1. This is the purpose of laws

"Lawbreakers live by the law. Law abiders live by grace."     - Bill Johnson

God’s government does not get to impose their governmental authority over your home, business or life.

Few of God’s people today see and hear in the spirit

  • This leaves them with their natural sight

  • Revelation says to each of the churches, “He who has a ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches”

The dangers of not recognizing God’s positioned people is:

  1. Usurping of authority

    1. Usurp (dictionary) - to seize and hold (a position, office, power, etc.) by force or without legal right

  2. Anointing is cut because of unbelief because of natural familiarity

    1. Mark 6:3-6 NAS 3 "Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? Are not His sisters here with us?" And they took offense at Him. 4 Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and among his own relatives and in his own household."  5 And He could do no miracle there except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. 6 And He wondered at their unbelief.

Matthew 11:12-24 NAS

12 "From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and violent men take it by force.  13 "For all the prophets and the Law prophesied until John. 14 "And if you are willing to accept it, John himself is Elijah who was to come.  15 "He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

16 "But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the market places, who call out to the other children,  17 and say, 'We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn.' 18 "For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon!'  19 "The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Behold, a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' Yet wisdom is vindicated by her deeds."

The Unrepenting Cities

20 Then He began to denounce the cities in which most of His miracles were done, because they did not repent. 21 "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles had occurred in Tyre and Sidon which occurred in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.  22 "Nevertheless I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you. 23 "And you, Capernaum, will not be exalted to heaven, will you? You will descend to Hades; for if the miracles had occurred in Sodom which occurred in you, it would have remained to this day.  24 "Nevertheless I say to you that it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for you."
