I. Manifesting the Sons of God

Romans 8:19 NASB:  For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly

for the revealing of the sons of God.  (manifestation)

   A. Adam was given the charge to take dominion over the earth (Gen. 1:28).  He was created in the image of

God as a speaking spirit with creative power in his words.  Adam was a “sayer of light” only--like God in

Genesis 1.  Everything he spoke created life, it was good.  But Adam failed his opportunity and after that

   everything was perverted.

   B. Through the finished work of the cross, we have been given the opportunity to succeed where Adam failed

and dishonored the creative responsibility God had given him.

            1. Words are the most powerful thing in the universe.  They either create life or they create death.   (Prov. 18:21).

            2. Ever since the fall the whole creation has suffered the effects and is anxiously awaiting or groaning

for the manifestation of the mature sons of God—talking dominion and taking dominion!

            3. According to James a “perfect” or mature man is one who is able to tame his tongue:

James 3:2 KJV:  For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word,

the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

perfect - NT: Gr. 5046 teleios, teleia, teleion

properly, brought to its end, finished; lacking nothing necessary to completeness; perfect:

            4. In order for manifestation to take place through the power of the Holy Spirit our tongues must be given over to   their intended use, to come into agreement with what God says, and become “sayers of light” only.

II. Imitating Abraham, Our Father of Faith

    A. Let’s go back to our father of faith, Abraham, and see how he activated The Blessing in his life and brought

manifestation of God’s Word into the earth.

Isaiah 51:1-2 KJV:  Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord:

look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. 2 Look unto Abraham

your father,  and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.

Look – Heb. 1027 nabat – to scan or examine closely (to inspect in detail); look intently at

(having the attention applied; engrossed:  behold or gaze at with fixed attention;

having the mind fastened upon some purpose

   B. Since Abraham is the one that fathered this in the earth with his covenant with God, we need to look intently at his

life to be an imitator.  How did he believe God to bring manifestation into the earth?

Romans 4:17 KJV:  17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,)

before Him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things

which be not as though they were.

before Him – Gr. like unto Him

            1. Abraham acted and did what God did in God’s presence, before Him or in front of Him.  He acted like God

            right in front of God!

                        a. What did he do?  How did he act like God in front of Him?

                        b. He came into agreement with who God said he was, Abraham, father of a multitude, by calling himself                            by that name, by the name that God said he was.

“calleth those things which be not as though they were.”

                        c. He knew that God could bring the dead to life, “who quickeneth the dead”.

Romans 4:19 KJV:  And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead,

when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:

                        d. Since he knew that God could bring the dead to life, he considered not  the “facts”:

                                    1. He and his wife were well past child bearing age.  Heb. 11:12: “him as good as dead;

“Romans 4:19 AMP:  the barrenness of Sarah's [deadened] womb.”

                                             2. Not only was Sarah’s womb dead at the age of 90, but she had never been able to have

                        e. The “facts” or “human reason” would have brought hopelessness, but one thing kept hope alive in                                 Abraham:

Romans 4:18 KJV:  18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father

of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

                        f. God had made a blood covenant with Abraham and swore by Himself as He gave Abraham His                            promise:  “So shall thy seed be.

   C. How can we “imitate” Abraham, our father of faith, to believe God?  Or how can we apply what we have learned by

   examining his life?

            1. We have a better covenant in the blood of Jesus that has been settled forever.

Psalms 89:34 KJV:  34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

               2. To accomplish God’s purposes on the earth, Abraham had to yield his tongue to God and call himself by His        God-given name after spending most of his life being called Abram.  He had to humble himself to this, possibly facing ridicule by people that knew him.  He lived in the time of the Babylonian kingdom being established on the          earth through Nimrod and continuing on through Nimrod’s descendants even after the building of the Tower of     Babel was stopped.  Babel was the capital city of Shinar.  In Gen. 14 we read about Amraphel, King of Shinar,             whose name means “sayer of darkness”.  Abraham separated his tongue from darkness and became a “sayer of        light” even while most of the world around him was in agreement with those of the Babylonian system who were         “sayers of darkness”.

            3. Today the Babylonian system is still going on as the system of this world that has its own ways of saying and            doing totally opposite of God’s Kingdom.  This system opposes God, His Word, and all prophetic declarations    concerning future provision.  It represents all that is false and evil, and it is advanced by the same demonic spirit

of pride that influenced Nimrod to exalt himself above God.  How can we break this down in our own lives to        bring manifestation into the earth through the creative power of our words?

Quoting Annette Capps in her book, Quantum Faith:

In order to change your circumstances or any “thing” in your life, you first go to the controlling beliefs in your

life.  Your heart and your words must agree to produce the kind of mountain moving words Jesus said we could

Mark 11:23:  “…but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass…”

Do you sincerely hold the belief that your words can change, demolish, or heal that which exists, and create that

                              which does not exist?

If you don’t believe that you are as powerful as Jesus said, then why not?  Is it because you feel unworthy, less

than, or inferior?  Where did this belief come from?  Your schoolmates, parents, siblings?

If you hold negative thoughts and beliefs, then you must discover them and change your beliefs.  Until you uncover

the hidden beliefs that control your life, you will not be able to operate in the kind of power Jesus said we have.

What you believe in your heart is the controlling force of your life.  You are either controlled by faith or fear.

It is fairly easy to identify negative, limiting thoughts, and beliefs:

  1. They bring fear.
  2. They make you feel bad.
  3. They manifest in your life as hopelessness, and expectations of sickness, poverty, failure, and defeat.
  4. They make you feel stuck.

               4. Hebrews 3:1 NASB:  Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus,

the Apostle and High Priest of our confession.

                              a. Jesus is the High Priest of our confession.

                        b. We are made kings and priests unto our God

1 Peter 2:5 NASB:  …a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices

acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

                        c. As priests of God, how do we offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God:

Romans 12:1 AMP:   I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God,

to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.

                        d. Make a decisive dedication of our bodies, presenting all our members and faculties, yielding our all,                                  including our tongues to Him.

            5. To imitate Abraham, we must be fully persuaded.

Romans 4:20-21KJV: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith,

giving glory to God;21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

            6.  Do we really believe what God has said about us?  This is the charge He gave to Adam in the beginning, but he didn’t esteem God’s Word and keep it first place.  We have been given the awesome privilege of “do-over” to really believe we are co-creators with God through the power that He has put in our hands through our words

Proverbs 18:21 KJV:  Death and life are in the power of the tongue:

and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Confess this over your life:

Things always work out for me!  Everything I do prospers, and I have abundance in Jesus name!

Break Down Words as the Harvesting Tool of Our Faith

Examine what comes out of our soul (including words and emotional projections) .

Dark Places

James 3:1-121 Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment. 2 For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body as well. 3 Now if we put the bits into the horses’ mouths so that they will obey us, we direct their entire body as well. 4 Look at the ships also, though they are so great and are driven by strong winds, are still directed by a very small rudder wherever the inclination of the pilot desires. 5 So also the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things. See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire! 6 And the tongue is a fire, the very world of iniquity; the tongue is set among our members as that which defiles the entire body, and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell. 7 For every species of beasts and birds, of reptiles and creatures of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by the human race. 8 But no one can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil and full of deadly poison. 9 With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God; 10 from the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be this way. 11 Does a fountain send out from the same opening both fresh and bitter water? 12 Can a fig tree, my brethren, produce olives, or a vine produce figs? Nor can salt water produce fresh.

Learning to not be sayers of darkness by recognizing dark imaginations

  • God starts by giving you a new beginning by bringing you to life in your spirit.  He has already delegated His authority to mankind, so we become renewed in our minds how to take dominion back into our hands.
  • He begins your journey by tearing down old mind structures and thought patterns because our mouth has been used to speaking what has come from that storage container.
  • In order to start building, we have to recognize what we are doing wrong legally.  The enemy has a legal right to carry out our foul words.
  • We may be speaking God’s Words because we’ve heard they are right, but in the hour of temptation we spill out the enemy’s words.  This can negate every good thing we have declared and cause us to not have a harvest of anything.

Here is the measuring line to see what comes out of your heart through your words:

James 3:13-18 - 13 Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. 16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. 17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. 18 And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

This section is from the book, The Jezebel Yoke by Sandie Freed

Are you suffering from any form of desolation? (meaning – barren wasteland, alone, lost, abandoned, poor, etc).

What are the signs of desolation?

  1. Hopelessness and despair
  2. Discouragement and disillusionment
  3. Great loss
  4. Grief and sorrow
  5. Physical death
  6. Spiritual death and apostasy
  7. Loss of vision
  8. Confusion
  9. Fear of failure

Satan, the Deceiver, may be telling you right now that you are unworthy to hear from God. He may lie and say that no one will listen to you because you are not a good speaker or that you are not bright enough to accomplish the work God has given you. Scripture calls such lies imaginations that must be torn down.

2 Corinthians 10:3–6 explains what we are up against: “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh (for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the casting down of strongholds), casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ; and being in readiness to avenge all disobedience, when your obedience shall be made full.” (ASV)

*Take a few moments and write down those lies. Then you will take an axe, which is God’s Word, to the root of those lies and chop them down. By this action you negate the lie of the enemy that attempts to abort your future by causing desolation.

*List the located lies in your mind as Lie #1, Lie #2, Lie #3, etc.

  1. I confess that I have believed the lie that says:
  2. I repent for believing that lie because the Word of God states this about me:
  3. As I declare the Word, it becomes a weapon of warfare against the enemy and the evil imagination is cast down.

*List any more lies from Satan that the Lord reveals to you. Then continue to confirm your freedom through Scriptures such as the ones that follow:

  1. Deuteronomy 33:27 - The eternal God is [my] refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out [my] enemy before [me].
  2. Psalm 31:7–8 - I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul. You have not handed me over to the enemy but have set my feet in a spacious place.

Surrendering Our Tongue to Holy Spirit

  • Allowing Holy Spirit full control of your mouth through speaking in tongues gives Him access to fill your spirit with God’s Words.
    • Romans 8:26-27 - 26 In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27 and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. (NASB)
    • 1 John 2:26-27 - 26 These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you. 27 As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him. (NASB)
  • Holy Spirit then separates the light from darkness inside of our mind as intelligible words (words and explanations of what His Spirit was depositing into us).
  • Ask Him to help you recognize the thoughts and words of Truth inside your mind and what comes out of your mouth.
    • We can more easily recognize the difference by knowing what the Words says.
    • Repeating this portion of James 3:17-1817 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. 18 And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
    • Romans 8: 26-27 -

Job 22:28 - "You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God's favor] shall shine upon your ways".

2 Spiritual Laws at Work in the Earth

The law of sin and death

  • Is already in action on the earth because of the fall

The law of the Spirit of Life

  • Only is activated by our submission to God’s heart and speaking His creative words.

Romans 8:1-16 - Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, 7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.  9 However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. 10 If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.  12 So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh— 13 for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.
